Join us for this Autumn's Desi Woman Sip & Paint in Birmingham <3

Unleash your inner artist and celebrate the beauty of culture at Desi Woman Sip & Paint- a wholesome evening designed to capture the beauty of South Asian Aesthetics via canvas painting. Enjoy nostalgic songs, pretty mocktails, female company + empowering conversation. A therapeutic blend of creative therapy, conversation & connection <3

Come along if you:  

• Love the concept of spaces for South Asian Women
• Are looking for a creative escape
• Want to immerse yourself in a solo activity or pick up a new or previous hobby
• Cute bonding activity to do with relatives or friends
• Want to unwind and connect with like- minded women
• Are a woman wanting to enjoy some me- time and get away from the daily grind of work, motherhood or just life <3
  

No prior experience is needed- simply turn up with enthusiasm and follow along to create something you're proud of. You can also bring along your own image on A4 to trace onto the canvas or paint something from your phone.

What to expect: 

6-6:15pm: Doors open, pick your seat and drink and get settled in. (There is an option for solo attendees to sit together). 

6:15pm: Short welcome and intro to supplies. You get a choice of three paintings to choose from, then get drawing your outline.

7:00-8:00pm: Enjoy throwback, nostalgic, background songs that were part of our childhood and a refreshing mocktail whilst adding your paint colours to canvas. Also a chance to introduce yourself and space to share empowering stories and conversation. 

8:00- 8:30pm: Add the finishing touches to your painting, photos for memories.

8:30pm: Goodbye until next event! <3

Your ticket includes use of all painting materials, a mocktail (and refill where possible) a savoury snack and your finished canvas painting to take home. 

How many people attend?

This event has 24 spaces. Whilst we strive to offer atmosphere and the chance for attendees to meet new women, we cannot account for last minute no shows- the event only goes ahead with a minimum of 18 attendees booked. If we have to cancel an event due to low numbers or any other reason, you will be notified at least 3 working days before and a full refund will be issued.

Please note this event is intended to allow you to have an enjoyable, therapeutic experience - it is not intended for learning artistic technique. All snacks are vegetarian but we cannot cater for allergies. 

Alcohol is not served or allowed on the venue.

WOMEN + OVER 16S ONLY

• All paints are non-toxic but may stain clothing. Disposable aprons are available if you wish to use. 
• All food and drink served are from reputable supermarkets and external suppliers. We do not cater to allergies. Guests consume all refreshments at their own discretion.
• Participation is at your own risk. Selfpyar Society cannot be held responsible for personal injury, accidents, or damage to personal belongings.
• Please supervise children at all times (if attending half-term sessions).
• The organiser is not responsible for lost or misplaced items (jewellery, phones, bags, etc.). Please keep valuables secure.
• By attending, you agree to follow any instructions given by the organiser or helpers.

• We are a judgement free space. 
• Guests are expected to behave considerately at all times. Any behaviour that disrupts the event, damages property, or makes others uncomfortable may result in being asked to leave.
• Please handle all paints, brushes, and materials responsibly.
